The South London rapper Kam-bu unveils his debut extended play, the Atlanta songwriter TARYN washes off old regrets, and forged out of the wildfires which continue to wrack the West Coast, on their sophomore album Illudium flick through the embers of shoegaze and black metal.<\/p>\n Adia Victoria rediscovers a taste for fried foods and the sweet scent of magnolias as she brews up her next batch of gothic blues, while from early modern manuscripts to nascent plucking techniques, Molly Herron and Science Ficta blend perspectives on the viola da gamba. For her debut on Recital, the pianist Molly McCann takes on the seasonal song cycle Das Jahr<\/em> by the German composer Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel.<\/p>\n Back in the here and now, in the midst of this sweltering summer, Nas reminisces in the company of Lauryn Hill, the Tokyo vocalists Tohji and Loota team with the Berlin producer Mechatok, the Alabama native Pink Siifu doles out sweltering smears of Southern rap, and Celestial sprawl out across shimmering fields of picaresque ambient.
