In the sleeping hours of last Monday along York’s River Ouse, shrugging off the foggy, fuzzing and whirring night air, I attempted to photograph the 2015 supermoon lunar eclipse. I failed – the fog was too much, so that I could only sense rather than see the moon – but managed nevertheless to take twelve competent photographs around the event.
Alas it is possible to fail twice in one go, and so here are a series of fourteen additional photographs featuring images blurred, shaken, and scraped, overwhelmed by the darkness or the Millennium Bridge’s neon lights.
