★★★★ (4 out of 4 stars) - Art and Gil return to the frontier town of Bridger's Wells. Known only so far as to be disdained, the young cowpokes cause quarrels thanks to Gil's combative temperament. When he learns that former flame Rose Mapen left for San Francisco at the start of spring, he begins downing whiskey in Darby's Saloon and bridles at the suggestion that he and Art might be implicated in a recent spate of cattle rustling...

★★★ (3 out of 4 stars) - Dream Scenario features another bravura performance by Nic Cage, especially in one scene from the final third of the film which mucks together a rare blend of defiance and righteousness, self-pity and genuine outreach, despondency and wonderment even if the wider world including his family see the performance, which he livestreams over the internet, as both bathetic and pathetic, nothing short of a real embarrassment as his eyes and nose redden and the spit sticks to his lips...

★★★★ (4 out of 4 stars) - Woody Allen and Diane Keaton are two of the most iconic figures in all of contemporary cinema and whether together or apart, Annie Hall remains their signature film. A fever dream and a temperate breeze, whirligig and fever pitch yet slender and surprisingly touching and somehow hushed or still, it remains shockingly modern while containing the best depiction of a relationship ever put up there on screen.
