On a recent visit to La Manga Club in the southeast of Spain, near Cartagena in the region of Murcia, I painted in watercolour and scribbled in ink the following three sketches, showing roof tiles, palm trees, and squiggles, some of the villas which make up the resort’s Las Lomas Village, and the golf course and assorted fields overlooked by the hills of La Unión.
